This is the third time the Provincial Party Committee has organized a workshop to collect comments on the 10-year Annals of the Party History of Nghe An Province (2005 - 2015). Previously, on March 19, 2018, the Provincial Party Committee organized the second workshop with many comments collected by the drafting committee. In addition, the experts' opinions also raised a number of issues related to the content, events, and Congresses that need to be edited by the Editorial Board in a more concise and logical direction.

Comrade Ho Phuc Hop - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department said that this is the Provincial Party History Chronicle, so it only focuses on presenting events, not analyzing or commenting. The research direction is to collect events in depth in a scientific and reasonable way. In particular, it is necessary to highlight the Party's leadership role in all areas of social life.

Some opinions say that the Provincial Party History Chronicle needs to have a unified structure and layout. Currently, the draft of the Chronicle only focuses on the narrative direction, if so, there needs to be a unified approach according to a common, scientific pattern. Moreover, the content is heavy on issuing leadership and directive policies, lacking preliminary and final assessments of programs and movements.

In addition, the Drafting Committee needs to unify the criteria for events to be included in the Provincial Party History Chronicle, and not necessarily include small events and content.

Some delegates suggested that we should not include sub-chapters in the Chronicle. In addition, we need to increase the citation of collected documents and be consistent in the use of symbols, fonts, abbreviations, etc.

Speaking at the workshop, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of the delegates. The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also said that the drafting and formation of the Provincial Party History Chronicle is very difficult, requiring high concentration of intelligence, effort and time of the members of the drafting committee as well as the contributions of experts and historical researchers.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son also requested that the drafting of the Chronicle should pay attention to the form of expression and content of events. Where it is necessary to be concise and abbreviated, it must be abbreviated and the structure and motifs must be unified.

The editorial board needs to update new guidelines on drafting the chronicle; the level and content of the assessment and comments on each historical event in the chronicle need to be considered and cautious. Regarding the citation of sources, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee noted that priority should be given to citing historical events of Party and State agencies; if not, the source of Nghe An Newspaper should be cited. In addition, the editorial board should try not to miss any events and should determine the criteria of the events to include in the 2005-2015 Provincial Party History Chronicle.
