Building a sustainable post office in Nghe An province.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 15th, the Nghe An Provincial Post Office held a rally to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Postal Service's tradition (August 15, 1945 - August 15, 2015) and the 68th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Postal Workers' Union (August 30, 1947 - August 30, 2015).

Attending the ceremony were: Mr. Chu Quang Hao, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Post Corporation; Mr. Ho Quang Thanh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Information and Communications; Mr. Thai Khac Thu, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Enterprise Bloc of Nghe An province; and representatives of the leadership of the Provincial Labor Federation and the Provincial Civil Servants' Union of Nghe An province.

Leaders from various departments and agencies attended the rally.

Over the past 70 years since its establishment, the Nghe An Provincial Post Office has overcome many difficulties and shortages, striving for development and achieving many accomplishments. The unit has been awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces in 1996; Hero of Labor in 2000; 9 Labor Orders of the First, Second, and Third Class; and many other prestigious titles.

Since its separation in 2008 based on the reorganization of the postal business unit of the former Nghe An Post Office, followed by a comprehensive separation in 2013, the unit has gradually modernized its network, diversified its services, confidently and proactively managed its production and business operations, achieving higher targets each year than the previous year; and the living standards of its employees have improved.

Comrade Bui Thi Minh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director in charge of the Nghe An Provincial Post Office, delivered the commemorative speech.

In addition, Nghe An Post Office always performs well in social work such as: assisting poor communes, caring for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, visiting and giving gifts to wounded soldiers and families of martyrs in the postal service...

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Ho Quang Thanh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Information and Communications, said that over the past 10 years of performing the task of state management of postal services in the province, the Department of Information and Communications has always highly appreciated the implementation of legal regulations on postal services, the effective organization of production and business, ensuring public services for the people, ensuring smooth communication and healthy competition in the market of the Provincial Post Office; and affirmed that the Department of Information and Communications will continue to accompany the Provincial Post Office in its development process.

Comrade Ho Quang Thanh, Director of the Department of Information and Communications, speaking at the ceremony, affirmed that the Department will always stand alongside the Provincial Post Office in its development process.

Comrade Chu Quang Hao, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Post Corporation, also acknowledged the outstanding achievements of Nghe An Provincial Post Office in recent years. Looking ahead, he requested that the staff and employees of Nghe An Provincial Post Office continue to inherit and promote the traditions, strive diligently, and compete in labor; while also coordinating effectively with relevant agencies in the area to excellently fulfill assigned tasks. This will contribute to the sustainable development of Nghe An Provincial Post Office and help build a stronger Vietnam Post Corporation.

Following this, the unit held a summary meeting on the five-year "Two Excellences" movement among female employees and workers of the Nghe An Provincial Post Office from 2010 to 2015. Accordingly, the Trade Union of the Vietnam Post Corporation awarded Certificates of Merit to two collectives and two individuals. The Provincial Post Office Trade Union also awarded commendations to seven collectives and 62 individuals.

The organizing committee awarded prizes to two groups for their outstanding achievements in the "Two Excellences" movement.

The organizing committee presented awards to the winning authors in the writing contest about 70 years of tradition in the Vietnamese postal service.

The organizing committee also summarized the writing contest on the 70-year tradition of the Vietnamese Post and Telecommunications industry. They also awarded a collective prize to the unit with the most entries. Regarding individual prizes, the unit awarded 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 8 consolation prizes.

Provincial postal service officials and employees enthusiastically participated in the tug-of-war competition.

As part of the traditional day celebration program, the Nghe An Provincial Post Office organized sports and cultural exchange activities for its staff.
