Building Nghe An business community to develop rapidly in scale and efficiency
(Baonghean.vn) - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Thanh An suggested that the Provincial Business Bloc Party Committee should promote its role as a "bridge" to build Nghe An's business community to develop rapidly in scale with increasing efficiency, with many strong, reputable enterprises and strong brands.
On the morning of December 22, the Party Committee of the Business Bloc held a conference to review the work in 2023 and deploy tasks for 2024.
Attending the conference were comrades: Bui Thanh An - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Tien Tri - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Head of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board. Also attending were representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors.
Perform the "bridge" function well
With a high spirit of determination, enterprises under the Provincial Business Bloc Party Committee have strived to overcome difficulties and challenges, seize opportunities, promote advantages to maintain stability and have good development.
Total revenue of the whole Block is estimated at 50,757.12 billion VND (up 5.14% over the same period); Export turnover is estimated at 368.97 million USD (accounting for nearly 12.81% of the whole province); Payment to the provincial budget is estimated at 3,536 billion VND (accounting for 21.30% of the total domestic revenue of the whole province), payment to the central budget is estimated at 657 billion VND; Total new investment of enterprises is over 900 billion VND. Enterprises have basically fulfilled their obligations to pay social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance for employees.
Social security work is focused on. The Party Committee of the Bloc responded and actively participated, mobilizing businesses to support Tet for the poor; effectively implementing the registration and implementation of house construction for people in difficult circumstances according to Directive 21-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Standing Committee. During the year, 50 billion VND was contributed to social security work.
Party building work has been enhanced, the role of Party organizations in all types of enterprises has been consolidated and promoted. The content, leadership methods, and quality of Party activities have been innovated and improved.
The Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Bloc and the Party Committees of the bases have identified the focus and key points to effectively implement the function of "bridging" between enterprises and the government, and enterprises with enterprises.
Party building work was taken care of, during the year 4 Party cells were established (including 2 Party cells directly under the grassroots Party Committee); 173 new Party members were admitted (of which 60 comrades were admitted under Project 5155).
Improve business competitiveness
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee Bui Thanh An acknowledged and highly appreciated the results of the Provincial Business Bloc Party Committee in 2023.
Emphasizing that 2024 is the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day, preparing conditions for the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term. However, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also said that 2024 is forecasted to have many difficulties and challenges, with many fluctuations in world security, the recovery of the world economy affecting the business community in general and enterprises belonging to the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee in particular.
To successfully complete the tasks in 2024, comrade Bui Thanh An suggested that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Business Bloc Party Committee and grassroots Party committees need to strengthen leadership in implementing political tasks, improve production and business efficiency; continue to invest in innovation of technological equipment, innovation in management and operation; promote digital transformation, apply scientific and technological achievements, improve labor productivity; increase joint ventures and associations, attract investment to improve the competitiveness of enterprises.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also noted that the Party Committee of the Business Bloc needs to further strengthen its coordination with industry trade union organizations, socio-political organizations in the province, departments, branches, industrial parks, etc. to successfully build value chains in production and business activities; coordinate with provincial agencies, branches and sectors in implementing administrative reforms, issuing support mechanisms and policies to create conditions for businesses to develop, and actively contribute to the socio-economic development of the province.
At the same time, grassroots Party committees focus on building corporate culture, raising awareness and responsibility of cadres, party members and employees in building the image and brand of the enterprise to customers, contributing to sustainable development.
The Party Committee of the Bloc needs to focus on innovating the content and methods of Party leadership in enterprises in the direction of accompanying and actively implementing administrative reforms, creating conditions for Party organizations to promote their leadership role in enterprises; Focus on reviewing, supplementing planning, training and preparing personnel at the grassroots level to ensure the standards for organizing Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term to achieve good results.
Party committees and leaders of enterprises should focus on doing well political and ideological work; promptly grasp and resolve issues arising from the grassroots; strengthen grassroots democracy in enterprises. Take care of the work of developing party members, paying attention to both quantity and quality. Focus on developing party organizations and party members in private enterprises and enterprises with foreign investment capital. Determine the organic relationship between developing party organizations and mass organizations, especially trade unions and youth unions, to create a source for party development.
In addition, it is necessary to actively carry out social security work, complete assigned targets on supporting house construction for the poor and people with housing difficulties, and first of all, carry out well the program to support Tet for the poor - Spring Giap Thin 2024.
