Building an excellent and strong Women's Union of Nghe An Border Guards

Over the past 5 years, Women's work andProvincial Border Guard Women's MovementThere have been many positive changes. The awareness and responsibility of the Party Committee and unit commanders regarding women's work and gender equality, for the advancement of women, have been enhanced; the position and role of women have been increasingly affirmed.

The Provincial Women's Union Executive Committee and grassroots branches are regularly strengthened and operate in a disciplined manner; actively and proactively innovate the content and form of activities to suit the reality of each unit; care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of women and children.

The activities of the Association are increasingly diverse, creating an environment and conditions for members to strive, mature, and promote the role of women in each working position. In any field of work, female cadres and members are always exemplary, clearly defining their responsibilities, overcoming all difficulties, and being dedicated to their assigned tasks.

The members also always strictly abide by discipline and laws; actively participate in the activities of the Association and women's movements; fulfill the role of women in the family; affirm the efforts of women to rise up, shining the beautiful image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", the qualities of "Confidence - Self-respect - Loyalty - Responsibility" contributing with officers and soldiers in the whole province to successfully carry out the task of managing and protecting territorial sovereignty, national border security, building a clean and strong Provincial Border Guard Party Committee, a strong and comprehensive unit.

In the period of 2016 - 2021, the Women's Union of Nghe An Provincial Border Guard was the unit that received a Certificate of Merit from the Provincial Women's Union for 5 consecutive years as an excellent unit; and was awarded many Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of National Defense, the Border Guard Command, and the Vietnam Women's Union for implementing the work of the Union and the Women's movement.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Association for the 2016-2021 term, consisting of 7 members; elected 2 delegates to attend the 16th Provincial Women's Union Congress, term 2016-2021. The Congress approved the key directions and tasks for the coming term. These are: Thoroughly grasping the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State, directives and resolutions of all levels on women's work in the new situation. Taking care to build the Association and members to be truly strong in terms of politics, ideology and organization; creating a comprehensive transformation in the Association's action movements.
