(Baonghean) - ...In recent years, most labor-intensive, high-tech industrial production projects invested in Nghe An have been implemented quickly and on schedule. This promises rapid growth and new investment attractiveness for the coming years.

The province's investment and business environment has been undergoing positive changes. Infrastructure has been improved.

Focusing on boosting investment and gradually improving infrastructure: National Highway 1A and many key transportation routes have been fully developed. Vinh Airport has experienced passenger growth exceeding 45%, has been upgraded to an international airport, and a new terminal with a capacity of 2.5 million passengers per year has been inaugurated. Currently, there is one international route to Vientiane (Lao People's Democratic Republic) and five domestic routes to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Buon Ma Thuot, and Da Lat, with three airlines operating, averaging over 100 flights per week. Cua Lo Port is experiencing sustainable growth, with a total cargo throughput of nearly 3 million tons, a 20% increase compared to 2013. Currently, the port has received investment in dredging the channel and constructing many new berths to ensure normal access for 20,000-ton vessels.

Infrastructure in the Southeast Economic Zone and industrial parks is being invested in. The Prime Minister has issued a decision to adjust the economic zone's area, increasing it by approximately 1,200 hectares, including the entire area of Hoang Mai Industrial Park and Dong Hoi Industrial Park. At the same time, the Prime Minister has also approved the adjustment of the Southeast Economic Zone's area by an additional 750 hectares for the VSIP 6 Industrial Park project in Nghe An. This is one of the important prerequisites and favorable conditions to boost investment attraction, especially foreign investment, in Nghe An. Vinh City is a Class I urban area, directly under the province; it is the political, economic, cultural, and social center, a hub for exchange, and a driving force for growth and addressing key tasks in the economic development of Nghe An and the North Central region. On January 14, 2015, the Prime Minister approved the adjustment of Vinh City's planning until 2030, with a vision to 2050. This serves as a basis for attracting investment resources to develop the socio-economic aspects of Vinh City and the province...

Nghe An has a large land area and a large population; a tradition of patriotism, and many contributions and sacrifices to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; it has advantages for development in terms of geographical location, natural resources, and human resources... Striving to make Nghe An a prosperous province, as advised by President Ho Chi Minh before his passing, is not only the aspiration of the Party Committee, government, and people of the province, but also the desire of the Party and State leaders, the National Assembly, the Government, central ministries and agencies, local authorities with hearts for the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh, and the business community and entrepreneurs.

The Party Committee, government, and people of Nghe An recognize that: To achieve rapid and sustainable development, it is necessary to "significantly improve the investment environment to attract domestic and foreign investment, focusing on developing industries with high scientific and technological content and high added value; developing supporting industries, clean industries, energy-saving industries, and environmentally friendly industries." This is both a task and a solution outlined in Resolution 26 of the Politburo for the Party Committee, government, and people of Nghe An province from now until 2020. And we are committed to making every effort to excellently fulfill that task; truly standing side-by-side with businesses and creating the most favorable conditions for investors to produce and conduct business effectively and sustainably in Nghe An...

We always welcome feedback from investors to jointly build a more attractive investment environment in Nghe An province, contributing to the successful implementation of the Politburo's Resolution 26's goal: to build Nghe An into a center for finance, trade, tourism, education and training, science and technology, healthcare, culture, sports, and high-tech industries in the North Central region. In addition, we hope that investors and businesses will cooperate more closely with the provincial authorities and relevant departments in their operations, accelerate the implementation of projects that have been granted investment certificates; innovate technology to increase productivity, reduce costs, and enhance product competitiveness; effectively exploit domestic and export markets; care for the well-being of employees within businesses; and ensure a sustainable business environment.
