Overview of the Conference

In 2013, despite the complicated developments in the domestic and international situation and many economic difficulties, with the attention and direction of the Central Ministries, branches, Military Region 4 Command, and the great efforts of the Party Committee, the government, the effective coordination of departments, branches, organizations at all levels and officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces, the province has advised, directed, implemented and successfully completed the security and defense tasks in 2013 such as: Leading and directing the implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws on the implementation of defense and security tasks; improving the quality and effectiveness of combat readiness work, maintaining political stability, social order and safety of the armed forces; fighting against crimes and performing state management of defense and security; Build up potential, build an all-people national defense posture, linked with the people's security posture and all-people border defense, increasingly solid; build and operate defense zones to firmly protect independence, sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.

Specifically, the authorities have handled 55 cases, prosecuted 29 cases, 68 defendants, prosecuted 21 cases, 27 defendants, investigated and clarified 788/980 cases of social order crimes; discovered hundreds of major criminal and drug cases and projects; arrested many dangerous subjects, ensured the safety of the lives of officers, soldiers and people, and prevented the formation of organized crimes, operating in the style of "mafia". Implemented the organization of management, immigration, inspection and supervision of activities on the border. The province has successfully completed the work of building the force, organizing medical examinations and conscription in 2 batches with 3,300 young people with good health and political qualities. Speaking at the conference, comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee acknowledged the achievements of the province's armed forces in the past time and suggested that in the coming time, the military, border and police sectors need to continue to strive and train to meet the increasingly high requirements of national defense and security tasks, concretize the policies in Resolution 26 of the Politburo, contributing to the construction and socio-economic development of the province.
