In recent years, Thanh Chuong town has undergone major changes, especially in its urban appearance. Comrade Nguyen Van Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Town People's Committee shared: The focused leadership and direction of the Party Committee and the government to attract investment resources, while arousing the consensus and support of the people, has demonstrated "the Party's will, the people's heart and the same will" in carrying out the task of investing in infrastructure and urban beautification.

In 5 years (2015 - 2020), the town mobilized more than 68 billion VND with a total of 5 km of asphalt roads and 25 km of concrete roads being renewed along with many upgraded internal concrete routes; built more than 6 km of drainage ditches and intra-field canals; consolidated and upgraded the electricity and clean water systems to meet the needs of the people... A number of welfare projects were also invested in, including a new kindergarten; built 12 classrooms for primary schools; renovated and upgraded medical stations...

Along with infrastructure investment, many pressing urban issues have been gradually resolved by the locality. The town has advised the District People's Committee to have a mechanism and thoroughly handle the "black spot" of environmental pollution at the district's old centralized landfill; signed a contract with Nhat Lai Environmental Company to collect and transport waste for treatment at Nghi Yen landfill (Nghi Loc); allocated budget to plant more than 900 trees along the roads and headquarters of some agencies...

Construction management and urban order have been strengthened; at the same time, drastic direction has been given to clear violations of traffic safety corridors, ensuring that fixed structures violating the corridors have been basically cleared; urban order teams have been established to maintain urban order and traffic safety corridors in the area.

The town Party Committee and government also assigned the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and organizations and unions to take the lead in organizing many movements to join hands in preserving environmental hygiene, maintaining "Green Sunday", building and taking charge of "Bright - green - clean - beautiful" roads, building "model self-management groups"... Mobilizing people to voluntarily contribute to buying more than 100 stone benches to place in the central lake area; buying LED lights to decorate trees along the lake shore; renovating business kiosks and in front of people's residential areas...

With the attention and creation of all favorable conditions from the Party Committee and the town government, organizations and households have been encouraged and motivated to promote investment and development of industry, handicrafts, services and trade. By the end of 2019, there were 92 individual industrial production establishments in the area; typically 20 mechanical processing workshops; 3 corrugated iron rolling workshops; 7 carpentry workshops; 5 local product manufacturing and processing establishments. At the same time, it has attracted 1 commercial center with many types of services and trade such as Dien May Xanh; FPT; Honda Phu Loc; Viettel supermarket; 600 individual business households..., contributing to creating a bustling appearance for the town.

Creating momentum for comprehensive development

At the end of the 2015 - 2020 term, Thanh Chuong town achieved and exceeded 31/38 main targets set by the Town Party Congress for the 2015 - 2020 term. Notably, the average economic growth rate for the 2015 - 2020 period is estimated at 13.3%/target of 11%.

The material and spiritual life of the people has been improved with the average income per capita estimated at 70 million VND in 2020, an increase of 33 million VND compared to the beginning of the term. The quality of education of the 3 schools is always at the top of the district; cultural and sports activities are cared for and developed extensively...

To achieve the above results, according to comrade Tran Dinh Tam - Secretary of the Town Party Committee, the important and decisive factor is the leadership and direction of the Party Committee, the management and operation of the government with many innovations; mobilizing intelligence, solidarity, unity within the Party and high solidarity and consensus among the people through good implementation of democratic regulations, ensuring the correct principle of "collective leadership, individual responsibility" in leadership and "people know, people discuss, people inspect, supervise" in implementation; promoting the exemplary role of cadres and Party members, especially the heads of Party Committees, governments, organizations and unions in the blocs.

In the process of leadership and direction, the Party Committee and the government have closely followed the policies and resolutions of the Party and the State at all levels to implement, be creative, and closely follow the actual situation of the town; clearly identify the focus and key points of concentration; clearly assign responsibilities associated with strengthening inspection, supervision, and urging to direct in a focused and decisive manner. The Party Committee and the government of the town have also always sought help and support in all aspects from the district and children far from home...

The town Party Committee has also completed the staff, civil servants, and non-professional workers from the commune to the blocs to meet the requirements of qualifications and professional capacity in the short and long term; focused on building the apparatus and promoting the role of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations in carrying out local political tasks...

Secretary of the Town Party Committee - Comrade Tran Dinh Tam affirmed that, on the basis of the achievements in the 2015 - 2020 term, entering the 2020 - 2025 term, the Party Committee and people of Thanh Chuong town have enough confidence and motivation to set out higher determination to strive to build a rich and civilized Thanh Chuong town; build a strong and comprehensive Town Party Committee.

In the economic field, it is determined to focus on strongly developing trade and services on the basis of creating conditions for businesses and households to expand their scale, while at the same time developing more service and trade systems such as high-quality hotels, supermarkets, entertainment areas, high-quality medical examination and treatment...; developing local industries, production and food processing facilities.
