To date, Nghe An has 159 traditional products and local specialties that can be developed into commodities. Of these, 84 are processed products and 75 are crop and livestock products.
Nghe An has more than 150 traditional craft villages recognized by the Provincial People's Committee; 690 cooperatives and more than 8,000 production and business enterprises are operating with many products with diverse designs and rich types.

However, the province still has many specialties and indigenous products, traditional craft village products are still only "famous in the region" but have not reached the market, consumers do not really know about them, so revenue, profit and selling price do not reach expectations.
Nghe An province has 182 advantageous agricultural products (in forestry, aquaculture, cultivation, livestock, services), but only 49 products have registered/announced quality standards, accounting for 26.9% of the total number of existing products; 32 products have registered for intellectual property protection, accounting for 17.6% of the total number of existing products.
While people's awareness of building and developing product brands is not uniform; the problem of using and exploiting trademarks, management is not strict, there are disputes or violations of trademarks, intellectual property; the capacity of production and business organizations of enterprises, cooperatives, and production households is still limited; production scale is still small; lack of access to information, market demand...
