4-seater car plunged under bridge, 4 people seriously injured

(Baonghean.vn)- On the evening of August 2, a 4-seater car running on Ho Duc Viet Street, the bridge section bordering Quynh Minh and Quynh Yen communes, Quynh Luu district, crashed straight into the railing at the head of the bridge and fell under the bridge. As a result, 4 people in the car were seriously injured and the car was deformed.

A section of the railing was dragged under the bridge by the car.

According to witnesses, at around 9:00 p.m. the same day, when the car with license plate 37A - 105.98 reached the curve to get onto the bridge, due to the sharp curve, the bridge had no lights, the reflective paint of the railing was blurred, the car was traveling at high speed, the driver was distracted and crashed straight into the railing at the beginning of the bridge.

The strong impact caused the car to drag a long section of the guardrail down and fall under the bridge. At the scene, many pieces of the 4-seater car were scattered everywhere, the front windshield of the cabin was broken, the hood was blown off, the car's chassis collapsed, and a long section of the guardrail was swept under the car. The four people in the car were seriously injured and were rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.

The front of the car was completely deformed.

It is known that the victims in the car were a family from Quynh Yen commune, including two young children (identities not yet determined). Quynh Luu district traffic police have arrived at the scene to investigate, but because the accident was mainly due to the car owner's mistake, the victim's family has taken the initiative to handle the situation and will repair the damage to the bridge railing.
