The world's first three-wheeled flying car PAL-V Liberty
At the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, Dutch company PAL-V launched the world's first commercialized personal flying car called Liberty with a unique design and many special features.
Introduced by the company as "a breakthrough in the history of flying car development", PAL-V Liberty is a 3-wheeled vehicle that can operate like a regular car but when necessary can become a helicopter within 5-10 minutes.

Liberty has the design and size of a regular car with 2 seats, but has an additional propeller to help the car take off when needed. The car does not use fixed wings, but instead uses helicopter propellers. When moving on the ground, the propeller and rear engine can be folded to avoid collisions and save space.

On the road, the PAL-V Liberty is capable of traveling at a maximum speed of 160 km/h, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in under 9 seconds. When flying in the air, the product of PAL-V International BV can reach a speed of 180 km/h. The car's fuel tank is shared by two engines with a total capacity of 100 liters and uses unleaded gasoline. It takes 5 to 10 minutes to convert from a regular car to an airplane.

Of course, being a flying car, buyers will need to get a pilot's license to fly it. The PAL-V Liberty has been certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in Europe and the FAA in the US.
