Bus plunges into field, 1 dead and 20 injured

While traveling on the road, a bus plunged into a field when the driver swerved to avoid a motorbike that had fallen in the middle of the road. The accident left one person dead and 20 injured.

The above bus accident occurred at around 8:00 a.m. on December 22, on National Highway 62, through My Phu commune, Thu Thua district, Long An province.

Accordingly, at this time, driver Le Truong Chinh (35 years old), residing in Kien Tuong Town, Long An, was driving a Long An bus running on the Moc Hoa - Tan An district route, with more than 30 passengers on board, traveling from Moc Hoa district to Tan An city.

When reaching the above road, a motorcyclist driving in the opposite direction suddenly fell in the middle of the road, driver Chinh swerved to avoid causing the bus to plunge into the field and overturn.

The accident killed Mr. Dang Van Tam (73 years old), residing in Thuan Nghia Hoa commune, Thu Thua district, on the spot and injured about 20 people.

Immediately afterwards, local people rushed to the rescue and took the injured to the emergency room. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
