Container truck crashes into sleeper bus, 6 dead.
At 12:20 PM on December 16th, a serious traffic accident occurred at kilometer 219+600 near the saltwater bridge in Dong Hai commune, bordering Tien Yen and Dam Ha districts in Quang Ninh province, resulting in 6 deaths and 12 seriously injured.

A container truck with license plate 15C-08907 and trailer 15R-036.19 collided with a Ka Long passenger bus traveling from Mong Cai to Hanoi with license plate 14N9315 at the Nuoc Man bridge bordering Tien Yen and Dam Ha. Initial findings indicate the container truck lost control while cornering at high speed, colliding with the left side of the passenger bus.
The collision was so severe that two people died at the scene: Ma Van Cuong (born in 1992, from Vo Nhai, Thai Nguyen) and Bui Van Quyen (born in 1966, from Ngoc Duong village, Dong Chu commune, Yen Lac district, Vinh Phuc province); four others died on the way to the hospital.
Six people have died and 12 have been seriously injured.
The owner of the Ka Long passenger bus is Nguyen Van Thuy, residing in Zone 2, Dong Trieu town.
Immediately after the accident occurred, Mr. Nguyen Van Doc, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, assigned Ms. Vu Thi Thu Thuy, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Director of the Provincial Police, the Department of Health, and the Chairman of the Tien Yen District People's Committee, to directly go to the scene to direct the handling and khắc phục of the consequences and provide medical treatment to the injured.
Authorities are currently investigating to determine the cause of the incident.
