Container truck hits bicycle, one person in critical condition.
(Baonghean.vn) -At approximately 4:30 AM on July 7th, a serious traffic accident occurred on National Highway 1A in Dien Ngoc commune, Dien Chau district, leaving one woman in critical condition.
According to residents living along the road, at the time of the incident, an unidentified container truck was parked on the side of the road heading north-south. Just then, a woman riding a bicycle carrying fish approached from behind. To avoid the truck, she swerved into the road. At that moment, another container truck with license plate 17L 0394, coming from behind, crashed into the woman, sending her flying to the side of the road. The truck then crashed into the rear of the container truck in front before finally coming to a stop.
The container truck involved in the accident has been taken to Station 5.
The accident left the woman in critical condition; she was immediately taken to the hospital by ambulance called by locals. The container truck driver sustained minor injuries.
The victim, who was riding a bicycle, has been identified as Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu (50 years old), residing in Dien Ngoc commune, Dien Chau district.
Following the incident, traffic police from Unit 5/1 arrived at the scene to regulate traffic and investigate the cause of the incident.
