Tractor-trailer crashes into truck.

(Baonghean.vn) - A traffic collision occurred at 4:40 AM on December 11th at the beginning of Hoang Mai Bridge (km 391+300 National Highway 1A) in Mai Hung Ward, Hoang Mai Town (Nghe An).

The container truck was towed away from the scene by a rescue vehicle.

According to eyewitnesses, at the time of the accident, a tractor-trailer container truck with license plate 51C-27772 (driver's identity unknown) was traveling from Thanh Hoa to Vinh. Just after crossing Hoang Mai bridge, while attempting to avoid a truck with license plate 34L-0445 traveling in the opposite direction, the container truck, blinded by the oncoming headlights and facing a narrow road due to bridge construction, collided with the side of the truck. The strong impact caused the container truck's front end to be dented and its engine damaged, while the truck suffered a flat tire and a broken axle. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the traffic police department of Hoang Mai town promptly arrived at the scene to direct traffic and investigate the cause of the accident. By 6:30 AM, a tow truck had removed the two damaged vehicles from the scene to clear the road. The collision caused traffic congestion in the area for nearly 60 minutes.
