The world's most expensive scooter is selling well in Vietnam.
Right at its launch event yesterday, September 18th, the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani scooter was purchased by three customers who signed contracts, with the after-tax price reaching 405 million VND per unit.
Approximately 10 days prior, the first Vespa 946 Emporio Armani arrived in Vietnam by air from Piaggio's factory in Italy. This is a new version of the Vespa 946, developed to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Giorgio Armani fashion group and the 130th anniversary of the Piaggio group, two of Italy's most famous brands.
Compared to standard Vespa 946 models, the special edition Eporio Armani has several differences, such as the Emporio Armani lettering on the body, the Italian fashion brand's eagle logo positioned above and inside the headlight, leather-wrapped handlebars, and a brown seat.

The Vespa 946 Emporio Armani has a special paint scheme; normally it appears as a matte black, but under special lighting conditions it takes on a greenish-gray hue.
Meanwhile, other technical specifications of the vehicle remain unchanged. It still uses a new generation 3-valve engine with electronic fuel injection and aluminum-cast cylinders. The vehicle is equipped with LED headlights, LED turn signals, and LED taillights, as well as a multi-function LCD display. Safety technologies include an anti-lock braking system (ABS) and traction control (ASR).
In the Vietnamese market, the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani is priced at 405 million VND after tax, 50 million VND higher than the 365 million VND price of the Bellissima version currently sold at dealerships, while the standard Vespa 946, priced at 340 million VND, has been discontinued.
