Sleeper bus caught fire on Highway 7

At around 1:15 p.m. on July 15, a sleeper bus with license plate 51B - 107.98 of Lam Hong bus company, driven by Nguyen Doan Hung (born in 1982, from Nam Dan, Nghe An) running the Con Cuong - Saigon route, after dropping off passengers and stopping for lunch at block 2 of Con Cuong town, on National Highway 7, suddenly caught fire at the front of the bus and burned completely.

Fortunately, at the time of the fire, all the passengers had been discharged, and the driver and conductor were eating at a roadside restaurant.

Driver Nguyen Doan Hung said: “After dropping off all the customers who stopped for lunch, the car suddenly caught fire for unknown reasons. All the documents and some luggage in the car were completely burned…”

Upon receiving the news, after 20 minutes the fire department arrived at the scene and tried to put out the fire.

The incident caused the entire route in the area where the fire occurred to be blocked for a long time.
