North-South passenger bus carrying more than 1 ton of fireworks
(Baonghean.vn) - Dien Chau Traffic Police Station has just discovered and arrested a passenger car carrying more than 1 ton of firecrackers suspected to be foreign-made electric firecrackers.
At around 9:00 a.m. on April 28, a working group from Dien Chau Traffic Police Station carried out a task and inspected a car with license plate 18B-018.96 traveling in the North-South direction driven by driver Vu Quang Thach, born in 1965, residing in Giao Tien, Giao Thuy, Nam Dinh.

Upon inspection, the authorities discovered 30 sacks inside the trunk containing a large number of boxes of firecrackers suspected to be foreign-made electric firecrackers, mixed with the passengers' goods and luggage, with a total weight of more than 1,000kg.

At the time of inspection, the owner of the above goods, Mr. Trinh Van Hoa, born in 1975, residing in Xuan Kien, Xuan Truong, Nam Dinh, could not present any documents related to the goods. The working group drew up a record to temporarily detain the vehicle and all the goods. Mr. Trinh Van Hoa said that the above goods were purchased in the Chinese border area, then hired a passenger car to transport them to Ho Chi Minh City for sale.

It is known that this is the largest discovery and seizure of firecracker-related goods ever by the Traffic Police of Nghe An Province. Currently, the functional forces are continuing to complete the dossier and handle it according to the provisions of the law.
