Passenger bus caught fire, a pregnant woman from Nghe An died
(Baonghean.vn) - On the elevated highway, a passenger bus crashed into the back of a container truck traveling in the same direction, causing the bus to burst into flames and spread throughout the entire vehicle. As a result, Ms. Le Thi Kieu died shortly thereafter.
On the morning of July 11, according to news from the local government of Tho Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, a pregnant woman died in a passenger bus fire on her way to Hanoi.
The victim was identified as Le Thi Kieu (born in 1981), residing in Hamlet 1, Tho Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District, Nghe An.
In addition, two people living in Tho Thanh commune were also injured in the bus: Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga (born in 1972) and Mr. Nguyen Van Thong (born in 1995), both living in Hamlet 1, Tho Thanh commune. The bus driver, Bui Thanh The from Nghe An, was also seriously injured.
According to initial information, the accident occurred at around 4:00 a.m. on July 11, on the elevated highway, passing through Trung Hoa ward, Cau Giay, Hanoi. The passenger bus with license plate 37B-018.42 crashed into the back of a container truck with license plate 34C-193.15 traveling in the same direction ahead.
The strong collision caused the passenger bus to burst into flames from the front, then spread to the entire vehicle. As a result, Ms. Le Thi Kieu died immediately after. It is known that Ms. Kieu was pregnant and was on her way from home to Hanoi for a prenatal checkup when the accident happened.
The victims are being taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. The deceased victims are being taken home for burial.
