Passenger bus overturns on N5 highway, 2 dead.
A passenger bus traveling on the Muong Xen (Ky Son) - Vinh City route suddenly lost control and overturned into a field while on National Highway 7C, killing two people.
According to the information, at approximately 4:00 AM on October 8th, a Thanh Tam passenger bus with license plate 37B - 022.06, operating on the Muong Xen (Ky Son) - Vinh City route, was driven by Dau Viet Sang (born in 1981), residing in Block 6, Con Cuong town, Con Cuong district.
Upon reaching National Highway 7C (also known as N5) in Nghi My commune, Nghi Loc district, the driver lost control, crashed into a roadside marker on the right, then veered off the road into a field, overturned, causing damage to the front of the passenger bus, and shattering the windshield...
The accident resulted in the deaths of two people: Ms. Moong Thi T. (born in 1973), residing in Huu Kiem commune, and Ms. Xeo Thi L. (born in 1971), residing in Bao Thang commune, both in Ky Son district. Others suffered minor injuries and managed to shout for help and open the doors to escape.
Following the accident, the bus company arranged for another vehicle to transport the passengers to continue their journey. The accident scene was also cleared by early afternoon on the same day.
The cause of the accident is currently being investigated by the authorities.
