Nghe An passenger bus crashes head-on into truck, driver dies, more than 10 people hospitalized
While overtaking a vehicle traveling in the same direction, the passenger car driven by Mr. Phuoc crashed head-on into a truck, killing the driver and injuring 12 others who were taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Initial information, at around 2:30 a.m. on July 21, Mr. Tang Dinh Phuoc (born in 1972, residing in Nghe An) drove a passenger bus with license plate 37B-02006 on the Nam Hai Van bypass (in Hoa Vang district, Da Nang) in the South - North direction.

Arriving in front of Kim Lien Animal Quarantine Station, the car overtook and collided with another passenger bus traveling in the same direction driven by Phan Van Hai (born in 1981, residing in Bac Kan province), then crashed head-on into a truck with license plate 76C-09615 driven by Nguyen Anh Huy (born in 1993, residing in Da Lat city, Lam Dong) traveling in the opposite direction.
The accident left driver Phuoc dead and trapped in the driver’s seat. Dozens of people on the bus and the truck driver were injured and taken to the hospital. Eleven of them were seriously injured.
At the scene, the cabins of the two vehicles were stuck together, and authorities had to use a specialized vehicle to pull Mr. Phuoc's body out.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
