Passenger bus transports 320 kg of 'illegal' cat meat

(Baonghean.vn) - On September 25, Dien Chau District Veterinary Station is completing procedures to destroy 320 kg of processed cat meat without valid documents handed over by Dien Chau Traffic Police Station.

Previously, at 9:30 p.m. on September 22, while patrolling, the working group of Dien Chau Traffic Police Station arrested a passenger car with license plate 17B-01249, driven by Mr. Pham Tuan Vu, born in 1974, residing in Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province, traveling in the South-North direction.

Upon inspection, the authorities discovered that the vehicle was carrying 4 Styrofoam boxes containing 320 kg of processed cat meat. The driver was unable to present any documents proving the origin and quarantine of the vehicle by the authorities.

The working group made a record to confiscate the cat meat and handed it over to Dien Chau District Veterinary Station for handling according to the law.
