Car crashes into crowd in Times Square, USA, killing people

A car plowed into a crowd of pedestrians in Times Square, New York, killing one person and injuring several others.

"I just saw a car crash into people in Times Square, the scariest moment of my life," witnessMichael Rickerby wrote on Twitter.

At the scene, the car was smoking and stuck in a pole on the sidewalk.New York police said at least one person died and 20 were injured, according to AP.

The driver was arrested and given a breathalyzer test.Police believe this was most likely an accident caused by the driver using stimulants and not related to terrorism.The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is working with New York police to find the cause of the incident.
