(Baonghean.vn) - While traveling at high speed on National Highway 1A, two young men on a motorbike collided head-on with a 7-seater truck, leaving one in critical condition and the other dying at the hospital.

The aforementioned serious traffic accident occurred on National Highway 1A in Quynh Thach commune, Quynh Luu district (Nghe An province) at 3:50 PM today (July 27).

According to eyewitnesses, at the time of the accident, two young men, aged approximately 22 to 23, were speeding on a motorbike when, at kilometer 396 + 700, the motorbike with license plate 37L1 123 76, traveling from Vinh to Hanoi, collided head-on with a 7-seater pickup truck with license plate 38C 02654 traveling in the opposite direction. The impact was quite strong, throwing both men on the motorbike a considerable distance, leaving them critically injured. The motorbike was completely destroyed, and the front of the pickup truck was severely damaged.

Immediately after the accident, local residents promptly took the two young men (from Quynh Xuan commune, Quynh Luu district) to the nearby district hospital for emergency treatment. However, one of them died upon arrival at the hospital. The other suffered a very critical brain injury.
