Luxury compact cars arrive in Vietnam, priced from 1.38 billion VND.
The new generation MINI model, featuring a twin-turbocharged engine, has just been launched in Hanoi with a price starting from 1.38 billion VND after tax, coinciding with the opening of the first MINI showroom in Vietnam.
Compared to its predecessor, the new MINI is larger, measuring 3,821 x 1,727 x 1,414 mm (an increase of 98, 44, and 7 mm respectively), while the wheelbase has also increased by 28 mm to 2,495 mm. The length of the MINI Cooper S alone has increased by 121 mm to 3,850 mm.

Along with its larger size, the car's exterior has undergone significant changes, featuring a trapezoidal grille with chrome trim, halogen headlights and fog lights (the MINI Cooper S uses xenon headlights with LED surrounds). The rearview mirrors and roof are white, contrasting with the body color; the A, B, and C pillars are a glossy black, giving the car a more robust and powerful look; and the taillights have been redesigned with a rounded rectangular shape.

The new MINI Cooper S, with its 2.0-liter twin-turbocharged four-cylinder engine, delivers a maximum power of 192 horsepower at 4,700–6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 280 Nm at 1,250–4,750 rpm. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds and has a top speed of 233 km/h. Average fuel consumption is 5.5 liters/100 km according to the EU standard test cycle.
In its standard version, the new MINI Cooper uses a 1.5-liter, twin-turbocharged, three-cylinder engine producing a maximum power of 136 horsepower at 4,500-6,000 rpm and a torque of 220 Nm at 1,250-4,000 rpm. The car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.8 seconds, has a top speed of 210 km/h, and boasts impressive fuel consumption of just 4.9 liters/100 km.
The new MINI has three driving modes: fuel-efficient (Green); sport (Sport), and the default MID mode; it also comes with intelligent cornering assistance, new suspension technology, Auto Start/Stop function, regenerative braking, and more.

In Vietnam, the new MINI Cooper is priced at VND 1.379 billion after tax, while the MINI Cooper S costs VND 1.549 billion. The importer aims to sell more than 100 MINI cars this year.
MINI has launched its first showroom in Hanoi, located at 189 Nghi Tam Street, Tay Ho District. The showroom, spanning nearly 340 square meters, can display 9 MINI cars along with product areas showcasing MINI-themed items and accessories.
