Car intentionally driving in the wrong lane on Ben Thuy 1 bridge
(Baonghean.vn) - Although there were regulations that the middle lane was for cars and the roads on both sides of the bridge were for motorbikes and non-motorized vehicles, the car still deliberately drove in the wrong lane.
Previously, on the evening of June 29, a clip appeared on social media recorded by a person in a car, showing a black 7-seat car (license plate not yet clearly identified) traveling on Ben Thuy 1 bridge. However, instead of going in the correct lane according to regulations, the car went into the lane for motorbikes and rudimentary vehicles.
According to the recorded image, because the lane for motorbikes and non-motorized vehicles is narrow, the car deliberately drove in the wrong lane, occupying the entire road. After the image was posted, many people commented, clearly expressing their dissatisfaction with this "private path".
Authorities need to verify and handle promptly.
According to Decree 100/2019/ND-CP: Drivers who drive in the wrong lane or lane (lane in the same direction or lane in the opposite direction) will be fined from 3,000,000 - 5,000,000 VND (Point d, Clause 5, Article 5). At the same time, their driving license will be revoked for 01 - 03 months (Point b, Clause 11, Article 5).
In case of driving in the wrong lane or road section causing a traffic accident, the fine will be from 10,000,000 - 12,000,000 VND (Point a, Clause 7, Article 5) and the driver's license will be revoked for 02 - 04 months (Point c, Clause 11, Article 5).
