Luxury cars from French brands are entering the Vietnamese market.

Four models from the French brand Peugeot, spanning four different segments – the Peugeot 3008 crossover, the Peugeot 208 hatchback, and the Peugeot 508 mid-size sedan – were launched in the Vietnamese market by Truong Hai Auto Corporation (THACO) on the evening of October 9, 2014, promising a boom in the automotive market in the final months of the year.

The Peugeot 208 measures 3,962 mm in length, 1,739 mm in width, and 1,460 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,538 mm, making it one of the most spacious small hatchbacks in its segment. It is equipped with a 1.6-liter engine and a 4-speed automatic transmission. Safety features include Electronic Stability Control (ESP), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Anti-slip Regulation (ASR), front and rear parking sensors, and an automatic parking assist system. The price is 948 million VND.

As a strategic model for the French automotive group, the 5-seater 3008 crossover features a body adorned with a series of chrome details such as the grille, fog lights, window trim, door sills, trunk lid, and LED taillights. Notably, the Peugeot 3008 has a "follow me home" feature. With this feature, the lights will remain on and automatically turn off when passengers exit the vehicle, and turn on again when passengers approach to open the door. The car uses a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission. Safety features include ABS anti-lock braking system, EBD electronic brake force distribution, EBA emergency brake assist, HAC hill start assist, and ESP electronic stability control. The price is 1.19 billion VND.

The Peugeot 508 has overall dimensions of 4,792 mm in length, 1,853 mm in width, and 1,456 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,817 mm. The Peugeot 508 shares the same engine and power as the 3008 crossover. In addition to safety features found in the 208 and 3008, the Peugeot 508 is also equipped with cornering brake control and anti-slip system (ASR). The price is 1.575 billion VND.

The two-door RCZ sports coupe features a double-domed roof design, HID headlights with automatic angle adjustment, LED daytime running lights, headlight washers, LED taillights, and a rear spoiler that adjusts automatically depending on vehicle speed. The Peugeot RCZ is equipped with the Matt Black sports package, which includes a black-painted roof, rearview mirrors, and grille, along with sporty 19-inch alloy wheels.
