Suzuki cars are the worst sellers in Vietnam

In July 2017, with 3 models in the TOP of the worst-selling cars, Suzuki continued to be an unattractive brand in Vietnam.

In the current difficult situation of the automobile market in Vietnam, many unsold car models in the market are increasingly difficult, among which we cannot fail to mention the models of the Suzuki brand in Vietnam.

Suzuki's slowest selling models are the Grand Vitara, Ciaz and Ertiga. Accordingly, in July 2017, all three models were on the list of the slowest selling models in Vietnam with a total sales of only 18 units (Grand Vitara 3 units, Ciaz 2 units and Ertiga 13 units). Notably, the Grand Vitara is the model that has appeared consecutively on the list of slow selling cars in Vietnam for many months.

According to a report from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), if only counting passenger cars, in the first 7 months of 2017, Suzuki only sold 940 cars in the Vietnamese market. This number is much lower than the brand holding 2 car models that did not sell any in the last 3 months, Mitsubishi (Mitsubishi sold 3,540 passenger cars in the first 7 months of 2017).

In its latest move, at the 2017 Vietnam Auto Show, Suzuki launched the low-cost small car Celerio, hoping to help the company revive sluggish passenger car sales in Vietnam.

Although the price and time of sale of Celerio have not been officially announced, it is certain that selling this car model will not be easy when in Vietnam, in the same segment as Celerio, there are 2 "dominant" models: Kia Morning and Hyundai Grand i10.
