Truck burns to ashes on Thang Long Avenue (Hanoi)
The truck, traveling on the highway, suddenly burst into flames. Because the fire occurred far from residential areas and the vehicle lacked a fire extinguisher, the driver could only stand and watch as the flames consumed the truck.
The incident occurred at approximately 2 PM today, February 25th, on Thang Long Boulevard, heading from Hoa Lac towards the Tran Duy Hung - Khuat Duy Tien intersection.

Ms. Nguyen Minh Thu (29 years old, residing in Yen Hoa, Cau Giay, Hanoi), an eyewitness to the fire, said that the truck involved in the accident had license plate 89K-7418 and was carrying goods covered with a tarpaulin. As the truck approached the Thien Duong Bao Son tourist area, a fire suddenly broke out from the undercarriage at the front of the vehicle.
Upon noticing flames coming from under the vehicle, the driver quickly stopped the truck, opened the door, and jumped out to escape. Because the truck lacked a fire extinguisher and the fire occurred far from any residential area, the driver could only watch as the flames consumed the truck. Afterward, the man left the scene.
Witnessing the incident, many residents called the fire department. “Because it’s a highway with few U-turn points, the firefighters had to drive all the way to the Thach That - Quoc Oai intersection, about 10 km from the fire site, before turning around. By the time they arrived, the entire front of the car had been burned,” said Ms. Thu.
The incident is still being investigated by the relevant authorities.
