(Baonghean.vn) -While trying to avoid a cyclist, a truck carrying over 10 tons of cassava tubers overturned into a ditch beside the road; the driver was fortunate to only suffer minor scratches.

The scene of the accident

At approximately 12:30 PM on February 18th, a truck with license plate 37S-2660, carrying over 10 tons of cassava, was traveling on the inter-communal road at the foot of Liet slope in Nghia Hop commune (Tan Ky district) when it encountered a cyclist coming from the opposite direction. Due to the narrow road, the truck swerved to the left to avoid the cyclist, unfortunately hitting a deep puddle of water beside the road. The truck overturned, and the cassava spilled all over the roadside. Fortunately, the driver only suffered minor scratches.
