Truck collides with motorbike, teenage girl dies.

(Baonghean.vn) - Attempting to overtake on the left, the motorbike driven by a girl with a friend sitting behind her collided with the truck's wheel and was thrown onto the road.

The accident occurred at approximately 9:30 AM on February 28th on National Highway 15A, in the section passing through Nam Nghia commune, Nam Dan district.

The scene of the accident resulted in one fatality.

At that time, a motorbike carrying two girls (whose identities are unknown) was traveling from Do Luong towards Vinh City. According to witnesses, when they reached the section passing through Nam Nghia, the motorbike attempted to overtake a truck ahead but collided with the truck's wheel.

As a result, the motorbike fell onto the road. The girl driving it was unfortunately run over by the truck's wheels and died on the spot. The other victim sustained minor injuries.

At the scene, the truck with license plate 37C – 043.46 (belonging to Canh Hoa transport company) was parked close to the right edge of the road. The damaged motorbike was lying on the opposite edge of the road.

According to initial information, the deceased victim (whose identity is unknown) was a final-year university student on their way to enroll after the Lunar New Year holiday.

By noon the same day, the Traffic Police Team of Nam Dan District Police had cleared the scene to ensure traffic order.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by the authorities.
