Technology taxi first launched in Nghe An market
(Baonghean.vn) - Within the framework of the Workshop "Technology 4.0 - vision and practical application in the taxi transport industry in Nghe An", Mai Linh Group announced that Nghe An would be chosen as the first locality to pilot the smart taxi model, applying technology to serve people and tourists.
On July 15, 2020, in Vinh City, Nghe An Department of Science and Technology in collaboration with Mai Linh Group organized the Workshop "Technology 4.0 - vision and practical application in the taxi transport industry in Nghe An".

The workshop is an opportunity for departments, sectors and transport enterprises to sit together, openly share issues related to technology, trends and application of technology in the passenger transport industry. At the same time, strengthen and harmonize this close connection to work towards completing the tasks set by the Party and the State, creating good values for life and society, contributing to the economic development of the province.
According to Mr. Tran Quoc Thanh - Director of Nghe An Department of Science and Technology, in recent years, the 4.0 industrial revolution has taken place at a rapid pace, science and technology, with digital technology as the core, have developed strongly, affecting most of the country's socio-economic sectors.

Proactively participating in the Fourth Industrial Revolution is a major policy of the Party and the State. This is demonstrated through the promulgation of policies and strategies to promote the application, development of science and technology and innovation, research, grasp, and improve the capacity to access and participate in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
“I hope that in the coming time, with the strong direction of the leaders and the participation of all levels, sectors and enterprises, Nghe An province will quickly and effectively apply the achievements of the 4.0 industrial revolution to life in a comprehensive way to be able to catch up, keep up and surpass in socio-economic development,” Mr. Tran Quoc Thanh added.
The transport industry is also not outside the "digital wave", considering technology as an important component in the entire operation of the industry. In Nghe An, an intelligent transport system has been initially formed, applying information technology, connecting to the Internet in providing transport services (booking tickets, checking in for trains, planes, automatic toll collection...); providing public services via the Internet (issuing, changing driver's licenses, vehicle inspection), installing GPS positioning devices for road and waterway vehicles to check and monitor the location, speed and route of vehicles in operation... These are important premises for the Nghe An transport industry to continue to promote the application of the digital revolution in management and operation in the coming time...

Within the framework of the workshop, Mai Linh Group introduced and piloted the technology taxi model (Smart Taxi and SmartCar) in Nghe An. This is also the first locality chosen by Mai Linh Group to deploy this new product line.
Unlike traditional taxis, one of the most prominent features of Mai Linh technology taxis (SmartCar and Smart Taxi) is the technological element throughout the customer's ride-hailing experience.
Customers in Nghe An can book a car throughMai Linh Taxi App,Hotline 1055 - 02388.686868, customers wave or at Mai Linh marketing points; all fares will be calculated and displayed in advance on the App or on the smart watch placed on the vehicle.
In addition, with the SmartPOS device mounted on Mai Linh technology taxis, customers can pay fares with bank cards (domestic and international), vouchers, QR-vouchers, e-wallets, MCC cards and Green Cards issued by Mai Linh Group... to bring convenience as well as limit the use of cash in the digital age 4.0.

At the workshop, delegates representing the Department of Science and Technology, the Transport Association, Nghe An Provincial Police and representatives of Mai Linh Group participated in the discussion to provide multi-dimensional perspectives and contributions to promote the application of technology in practice, including the increasingly perfecting of Nghe An passenger transport industry.
