Watch Dennis Bergkamp score a long-range masterpiece at the age of 48
Legendary player Dennis Bergkamp scored in a friendly match last weekend with a curling shot from outside the penalty area.
Bergkamp started the scoring with a backheel pass to his teammate. After receiving the ball back, the former Dutchman curled the ball from 18 meters away, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance to save.
The masterpiece shows that Bergkamp's footballing skills may not have diminished with age. The 48-year-old retired 11 years ago while playing for Arsenal, having scored 120 goals in 423 appearances.

Bergkamp's goal came in a friendly match marking the 20th anniversary of the death of the late Dick Van Dijk. At his peak,Van Dijk scored in the 1971 European Cup final to help Ajax beat Panathinaikos 2-0.
Bergkamp is currently one of the coaches at Ajax's academy. This is also where he grew up before going abroad to play for Inter Milan and then Arsenal.
