Watch Russian warships chase and attack Ukrainian ships
Russian border guard vessels chased the ships and rammed a Ukrainian tugboat trying to pass through the Kerch Strait, which separates Crimea from mainland Russia.
Moscow also confirmed that it opened fire and seized three Ukrainian ships. The incident occurred on November 25, RT reported.
The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said the chase and shooting took place after Ukrainian naval vessels illegally entered Russian territorial waters. The FSB said the actions of the Ukrainian vessels were deliberately provocative, aiming to create conflict in the region.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian navy said the movement of its ships was normal and that they had notified Russian authorities in advance.
