US Air Force F-16 fighters demonstrate their firepower in live-fire exercises.

The US Air Force recently posted a video of F-16 fighter jets from squadrons stationed at Misawa Air Base, Japan, and Andersen Air Force Base on Guam Island conducting live-fire drills in July, Aviationist reported on September 4.

In the video, F-16 fighters fire 20mm cannons, launch AGM-88 anti-radiation air-to-ground missiles and drop bombs such as GBU-12, Mk-82, Mk-84.

In addition, US fighters also escorted a strategic bomber from the 9th Bomber Squadron based in Texas, in a joint combat practice situation.

The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a multirole jet fighter aircraft developed by General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin for the United States Air Force.

In addition to the 20 mm M61A1 multi-barrel cannon with aiming device integrated in the cockpit, the F-16 has 9 external weapon hardpoints, which can carry a variety of air-to-air missiles such as AIM-9X Sidewinder, AMRAAM, Sparrow, Skyflash.

As a multi-role fighter, the F-16 is also equipped with ground attack weapons such as Maverick, HARM and Shrike missiles, or Harpoon and Penguin anti-ship missiles. The aircraft can also drop precision-guided bombs such as CBU-97, CBU-89 or JDAM and WCMD bombs.
