Vinh Water Production Enterprise strives to provide stable clean water in the summer

(Baonghean) - After equitization, Nghe An Water Supply Joint Stock Company established Vinh City Water Production Enterprise (on the basis of merging Hung Vinh Water Plant - Vinh City and Cau Bach Water Plant - Nam Dan).

Thanks to the advantage of modern clean water treatment technology and large capacity (2 factories are 80,000 m3/day), Vinh City Water Production Enterprise has become the main production unit of Nghe An Water Supply Joint Stock Company. In particular, with the efforts of the Enterprise in production, during the peak period of summer 2017, there was no shortage of clean water in Vinh City.

Currently, Vinh City Water Production Enterprise has 2 raw water sources serving the factory, provided by Song Lam and Song Dao Water Supply Company Limited. With a fairly abundant supply of raw water, the Enterprise is always proactive in producing clean water, especially serving customers promptly during the peak summer season.

To serve the 2017 summer water supply campaign (from May to August), Vinh City Water Production Enterprise has developed a plan for clean water production and supply suitable to the actual conditions and situation, and prioritized the maintenance of machinery and equipment, innovation in management and production operations... In the summer, because the raw water from Lam River is often turbid, the Enterprise strengthens industrial hygiene such as: flushing the ditch system, gutters, and discharging mud according to regulations, and at the same time adjusting to increase preliminary chlorination before putting raw water into treatment to increase safety in disinfection, treatment of organic compounds, odors... Recently, at Hung Vinh Water Plant, PAC water treatment chemicals have been used to replace traditional alum, although the cost has increased, but it ensures the stability of clean water quality for people in the summer.

Thanks to the investment in modern water production technology and large capacity, at Vinh City Water Production Enterprise (Hung Vinh and Cau Bach Water Plants), the water quality meets the standards of the Ministry of Health. At Hung Vinh Water Plant, the capacity is 60,000 m3/day and night and produces clean water on modern European production lines and equipment. Over the past time, the water quality of the production plant has been stable and highly appreciated by customers. In particular, at Cau Bach Water Plant with a capacity of 20,000 m3/day, in addition to modern European technology and equipment, the operating system is from Rockwell - USA.

This is one of the top modern clean water plants in Vietnam. The clean water production process at the plant is that the main source of raw water is taken from Lam River and led to the level 1 pumping station, which pumps water into the distribution tank and leads to the Polymer injection reaction tank, then continues to the lamella settling tank, then transfers to the gravity filter tank, is disinfected with liquid chlorine solution and sent to the storage tank, then the level 2 pumping station will supply to the water supply pipeline system for customers... Along with paying attention to water quality (from the source to the customer), at Vinh City Water Production Enterprise, there is a laboratory with modern equipment that can test 15 indicators (criterion A) and monitor and inspect the quality of water after treatment 24/24h.

During the peak summer season, the demand for clean water in Vinh City, surrounding areas and industrial parks often increases by more than 20%. Vinh City Water Production Enterprise has assigned 18 officers and employees to work 3 shifts/day to ensure clean water supply for customers 24/7.

Mr. Phan Cong Hoa - Deputy Director of Vinh City Water Production Enterprise said: "The staff and workers of the Enterprise will strive to complete the assigned tasks, especially the production plan assigned by Nghe An Water Supply Joint Stock Company in the summer of 2017. After 2 months of production during the peak summer period, the Enterprise has produced more than 5.2 million m3 of water, of which more than 2.5 million m3 in May and 2.7 million m3 in June. Due to good maintenance and reasonable shift assignment, currently both Hung Vinh and Cau Bach Water Plants are operating beyond capacity."

Currently, Vinh City Water Production Enterprise has more than 90,000 customers in Vinh City, surrounding areas and industrial parks (in the first 6 months of 2017, 1,920 more customers were added) and more and more customers are coming; however, the water plants are currently operating at full capacity, so there needs to be a plan to invest in and upgrade the water plants. Along with that, relevant levels and sectors need to provide timely support for the water plants to operate effectively, such as the Electricity sector needs to provide stable electricity and have a plan to promptly handle the power source on line DZ 374 so that Cau Bach Water Plant (Nam Dan) can operate more stably during the peak water supply season in the summer of 2017.

Vinh City Water Production Enterprise, with its key role in clean water production, has contributed greatly, together with Nghe An Water Supply Joint Stock Company, to ensure that there is no water shortage during the peak period of summer 2017./.
