On November 8, 2021, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police said: Under the direction of the Provincial Police leaders, professional departments and local police arrested 02 cases, 04 subjects of drug crimes; eliminated drug trafficking and transportation lines in large quantities from Laos to Nghe An and then sold them in other localities. The total weight of drugs seized was more than 3.1kg.
Specifically: At about 10:30 a.m. on November 4, 2021, at Yen Xuan bridge area in Trung Phuc Cuong commune, Nam Dan district, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the Provincial Police coordinated with Trung Phuc Cuong commune police, Nam Dan district to arrest Tong Tran Anh (born in 1994), residing in Son Kim 2 commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province for the act ofdrug trafficking

Expanding the investigation, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the Provincial Police arrested Nguyen Van Hoang (born in 1989), residing in Son Kim 1 Commune, Huong Son District, Ha Tinh Province, for illegal drug trafficking. The seized exhibits included 02kg of crystal meth, 24,000 synthetic drug pills, 01 motorbike, 02 mobile phones.
On the same day, at 1:00 p.m. on Provincial Road 558 in Trung Phuc Cuong Commune, Nam Dan District, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the Provincial Police arrested Duong Van Tuong (born in 1979), residing in Hung Thinh Commune, Hung Nguyen District, for illegally transporting drugs. The seized exhibits included 600 grams of crystal meth, 01 car, and 02 mobile phones.

Continuing the fight, at around 4 p.m. the same day, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, in coordination with the Mobile Police Department, Le Loi Ward Police, Vinh City, arrested Nguyen Hoang Tuan (born in 1972), residing in Le Loi Ward, Vinh City, for illegal drug trafficking, seizing 500 grams of ketamine, 38 ecstasy pills and related evidence.
At 1 p.m. the same day, on Provincial Road 558 in Trung Phuc Cuong Commune, Nam Dan District, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the Provincial Police arrested Duong Van Tuong (born in 1979), residing in Hung Thinh Commune, Hung Nguyen District, for illegally transporting drugs. The seized exhibits included 600 grams of crystal meth, 01 car, and 02 mobile phones.

Tuan was the ringleader of a drug trafficking ring that illegally transported large quantities of drugs from Laos to Nghe An and then to the northern provinces for consumption.
