A deputy director of a department 'failed' to be removed from the Party
During the process of appointing the nephew of a former Binh Dinh Provincial Party Secretary as deputy director of the department, the authorities discovered that this person had unclear party membership so they removed his name from the Party.
The Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee also requested the Phu My District Party Committee's Standing Committee to cancel the decision to admit Mr. Son to the Party and the decision to officially recognize him as a Party member. Mr. Tran Kim Hung, Head of the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee, said that this agency had sent a document requesting the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to remove Mr. Le Thanh Son (30 years old), Deputy Head of the Cultural and Social Department of the Provincial People's Committee Office, from the list of Party members.
In addition, the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee also requested many Party organizations to seriously review the admission to the Party, recognition of official Party members, and transfer of Party activities without proper authority and against regulations for Mr. Son.
According to Mr. Tran Kim Hung, recently, when the Party Committee of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee proposed to transfer and appoint Mr. Le Thanh Son (nephew of a former Provincial Party Secretary) as deputy director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, during the procedure, the authorities discovered that Mr. Son had unclear party membership.
Specifically, Mr. Son worked at the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism since October 2008 but was admitted to the Party by the Phu My District Party Committee in July 2010. Although he was admitted and participated in Party activities in My Chau commune, Phu My district, Mr. Son did not report to the Party organization of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
In 2012, when he moved to work at the Provincial People's Committee Office, Mr. Son transferred his Party activities from Phu My district to the provincial agencies.
The Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee concluded that Mr. Son's admission to the Party was not within its authority and contrary to the regulations of the Party Central Committee.
Explaining to the authorities, Mr. Son said that it was because he wanted to join the Party soon. Mr. Hung added that after Mr. Son was removed from the Party, the authorities would handle it administratively.
