(Baonghean)In Hamlet 4B, Hung Dao Commune (Hung Nguyen District), the Party newspaper is not only a "handbook" for Party branch activities but is also stored at the hamlet's cultural center and broadcast through the public address system so that people can promptly update themselves on the Party's guidelines and resolutions, the State's policies and laws, and successful business models... From there, they can apply them to the practical situation of the locality.

Visiting Hamlet 4B, Hung Dao Commune, we were truly captivated by the small room next to the hamlet's cultural center hall, with a small sign that read "Library Room." Inside, there were many kinds of books, newspapers, magazines, and journals for all ages, especially Party newspapers (Nhan Dan Newspaper, Nghe An Newspaper) neatly arranged on the bookshelves.

Speaking with us, Deputy Secretary of the Party branch Nguyen Thi Hang said: “The construction of the library is a policy of the Party branch aimed at fostering a reading culture, especially the movement of reading and following the Party's newspapers and magazines. Every day when the Party newspaper is delivered by the postman, the Party branch secretary reads it, noting down the necessary content to disseminate to cadres and Party members during the first 20-30 minutes of the regular Party branch meeting. Afterwards, the newspaper is brought out to the bookshelves in the library so that cadres, Party members, and the general public can access and learn from it.”

From important issues concerning current national and provincial affairs that require public opinion guidance, to new policies and guidelines, and even minor issues closely related to the people such as planting seasons, pest and disease situations, and seeds, the Party branch directly disseminates information through the village's loudspeaker system. Therefore, the Party newspaper has long become an indispensable source of information for Party members and residents of Hamlet 4B.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Chinh, head of the Elderly Association in Hamlet 4B and a regular reader of Nghe An Newspaper, said: “I am very pleased that the local Party newspaper is increasingly being improved in content and format, with many interesting and attractive sections, especially the sections: Ideological Activities, Exchange, Discussion, and Observation Corner, which are concise, witty, sharp, and highly topical.” Therefore, not only does he maintain the habit of going to the library to read the newspaper on weekends, but he also borrows it to read at home so he can have more time to study it in depth.

Party cell 4B pays special attention to content related to good models and practices, exemplary models of successful economic development, movements such as land donation for road construction, land consolidation and exchange, and new rural development, which are publicized in the Party newspaper. The 32 Party members in the cell read and discuss these topics, then disseminate them to the local people for reference and application to the local situation.

Thanks to regularly reading the Party newspaper, Party members and the people in the hamlet easily grasp the ideology when mobilizing people's contributions to build infrastructure or implement various funds and fees without wasting much time. In recent years, the people in the hamlet have voluntarily contributed over 200 million VND to build a football field, drainage ditches, roads, and fences around the cemetery. The cultural, artistic, and sports movements, as well as the development of cultural life in the residential area, have developed strongly, with 85.7% of families being recognized as cultural families. The hamlet has received a commendation from the Provincial People's Committee for 20 years as a model cultural village, the Party branch has achieved the title of clean, strong, and exemplary for 10 years, the mass organizations have been rated excellent, and the Hamlet Front Committee has received a commendation from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The movement to promote learning and talent in the locality has made positive progress. The number of outstanding students at all levels and advanced students is increasing, with many families having 2-3 children admitted to university, such as the families of Mr. Nguyen Van Minh, Mr. Nguyen Cong Chinh, and Mr. and Mrs. Loan Nghia…

Drawing inspiration from local economic development models, the people of Hamlet 4B have proactively diversified their business and service activities to increase income and improve their living standards. The hamlet has 15 transport vehicles of various types, 43 people working abroad… with an average per capita income of 18.2 million VND/year. There are 28 households with an income of 80 million VND/year or more, 72 households with an income of 50-79 million VND, 36 households with an income of 20-40 million VND, and only 11 households remain poor.

These autumn days, amidst the celebratory atmosphere of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, the Party cell of Hamlet 4B is leading the people in actively constructing a 150-meter-long irrigation canal for the Bau Ven rice field to serve agricultural production. This is also a project reflecting the "Party's will and the people's aspirations," a joint effort to build a new rural area, effectively implemented by the Party cell committee and hamlet leadership, drawing on innovative thinking and practices from reading and following Party newspapers…
