Below we would like to introduce a steam bath and medicinal bath remedy applicable to cases of exogenous diseases, fever without sweating, headache, and pain in both temples.

Medicinal herbs for one person/one steaming session:50g bamboo leaves, 40g perilla, 50g chrysanthemum, 40g pigweed, 20g fresh ginger, 50g whole lemongrass (both leaves and roots), 30g whole root, 30g camphor leaves, 30g basil, 40g calyx, 30g basil.
If accompanied by sore throat add 30g mint.
If accompanied by sauce, add 30g of reed root and plant.
If accompanied by headache, add 15g of chrysanthemum.
If accompanied by cough and phlegm, add 15g of xạ can.
Sauna:Put the medicinal herbs in a pot and boil until the aroma is released. Bring it into a steam room that is not ventilated. Cover it with a thin basket to avoid touching your body with the boiling water.
The patient sits on a chair about 10-15cm high, holding the pot of medicinal water. Take a piece of clean, thick cloth, fold it in half, cover the body, open the lid to let the medicinal steam escape, steam until sweating, remove the cloth, wipe the body, change clothes. It is best to eat a bowl of hot onion porridge to help.
Note: Do not go out immediately, avoid drafts.
Sauna:The patient enters the bathroom, sits in a recliner or in a comfortable position. Exhale the medicinal vapors into the sauna for 5-25 minutes with the temperature gradually increasing from 25-35oC.
When the patient feels sweat all over the body, use a warm, damp towel to wipe the body, then wipe again with a dry towel, go to the room to change into clean clothes, go to the waiting room to rest for 10-15 minutes, then eat a bowl of onion porridge or drink some warm sugar water.

Conditions that should not be treated with steam baths or herbal baths
Do not use herbal steam baths, herbal steam baths, or herbal baths for people with the following diseases: dizziness (high blood pressure, low blood pressure, fluctuating blood pressure); strong palpitations (cardiovascular disease); edema (acute and chronic nephritis); jaundice (acute and chronic hepatitis); epidemic and toxic diseases (dengue fever, measles, etc.); acute asthma with difficulty breathing; rheumatic diseases with high fever (infection); pregnant women; acute diseases with unknown causes.../.
