With a total area of 45 hectares of aquaculture, including 30 hectares of shrimp farming of 23 households, almost all were lost. Ms. Chu Thi Luong in Dinh hamlet, Nghi Yen commune, is one of the households with the largest shrimp farming area in the commune. She said: With an area of nearly 1 hectare, her family released 320,000 shrimp fry this crop, with only 10 days left until harvest, but the recent rain washed away 4 ponds. The estimated damage is over 500 million VND.
Immediately after the water receded, her family and many shrimp farming households in the area organized to collect the remaining shrimp and at the same time carry out solutions to treat ponds and disinfect.

Mr. Hoang Phuc Nam, Vice Chairman of Nghi Yen Commune People's Committee, said: In the immediate future, we will promote shrimp farming households to buy lime powder and Saponin to kill weeds, disinfect ponds, and renovate ponds to prepare for the new farming season. The commune also submitted a request to the superiors for support according to the province's regulations so that people have more funds to restore the pond area, helping people feel secure and stabilize production.
At the same time, direct hamlets to quickly drain water in the fields, organize winter crop production effectively; mobilize mass organizations to launch a campaign to clean up the living environment.
