Strictly handle violations in the field of mineral resources
(Baonghean.vn) – Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh directed that unlicensed mines must be resolutely handled; those that have not been closed properly, the Provincial Party Committee assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to review and handle and report back to the province by the end of June.

At the online conference, Deputy Secretary of Quy Hop District Party Committee Phan Dinh Dat said that Quy Hop district has coordinated with the inspection team of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to inspect the law compliance of mineral exploitation and processing establishments in the district.
To date, the delegation has inspected 55 mines, of which 46 stone mines and 9 tin mines have completed their records and fined 20 cases with a total amount of over 2 billion VND and revoked the right to use the license for 6 months for 4 cases.
On the morning of April 10, under the chairmanship of comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee held an online meeting with the Standing Committees of the district, city and town Party Committees on the implementation of tasks in the first quarter and the deployment of key tasks in the second quarter of 2017. Also attending were comrades: Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office, Le Minh Thong - Member of the Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of departments and branches of the province. |
Mr. Phan Dinh Dat also requested that the Provincial Party Committee direct provincial departments and branches to soon have the results of water and mud sample analysis related to the dam break of the waste tank of Suoi Bac Tin Mining Enterprise to widely inform the people.
Regarding this issue, Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Thai Van Nong said that the Environmental Resources Monitoring Center under the department has taken two batches of samples for analysis.
On March 12, the center collected 5 water samples, 6 mud samples, and on April 4, another 5 water samples and 5 mud samples. The working group from the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment collected independent samples to analyze and evaluate the level of substances in these samples.

“At this time, the preliminary results of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment are available; the results of the samples of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment are not yet available. Today (April 10), the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has reported to the Provincial People's Committee and asked for instructions from the Provincial People's Committee to continue waiting for the updated results of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Ministry of Industry and Trade and will widely announce them on the mass media,” said Mr. Nong.
Regarding this content, the Provincial Party Secretary said that recently, businesses that violated the law were punished, but the issue is to strictly manage this field in the area.
“For unlicensed mines, we will resolutely handle them; for mines that have not been closed properly, the Provincial Party Committee has assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to review and handle them and report back to the province by the end of June. If the district discovers a mine that has not been closed properly, it will send a report to the province for handling,” the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized.
