(Baonghean) - Baonghean Newspaper No. 10113, published on Sunday, January 11, 2015, on page 8, under the section "Hotline Information," reported that "Residents of Block 4, Dung Town, Thanh Chuong District" have complained that for more than a week, the communal kitchen of the boarding school's cafeteria at Dung Town Kindergarten (now Thanh Chuong Town) has been discharging wastewater onto the asphalt road, obstructing traffic and causing environmental pollution in the residential area of Block 4.

First of all, the People's Committee of Thanh Chuong Town sincerely thanks Nghe An Newspaper for its timely attention and reporting.

The incident reported by the newspaper is true. The sewage drain across the old National Highway 15 was installed by the Town Kindergarten in October 2014. During the New Year's holiday, when the school was closed as per regulations, the drain opening became clogged with garbage and plastic bags, causing water to overflow onto the asphalt road, obstructing traffic and polluting the environment in residential area 4. The Town People's Committee worked with the school principal, assigning the principal to regularly inspect and collect garbage and plastic bags daily. To date, the water flow has improved and the problem has been resolved.

The People's Committee of Thanh Chuong Town hopes to continue receiving feedback and constructive suggestions from Nghe An Newspaper so that the state management of the environment in the town can be further improved.
