Authorities collected over 5 billion VND in revenue from violations of forestry laws.
(Baonghean.vn) - According to a report from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in June 2015, the authorities collected 1.27 billion VND for the state budget from the sale of confiscated forest products and vehicles.
The confiscated forest products included: 90.71 m3 of round and sawn timber of various types, specifically: 54.30 m3 of round timber; 36.41 m3 of sawn timber; 2 kg of confiscated forest animals; the value of non-timber forest products was 46,080,000 VND; fines: 275,500,000 VND; proceeds from the sale of confiscated forest products and vehicles: 999,763,000 VND.
In total, from the beginning of the year until now, the industry has detected and handled 385 cases of violations of forestry laws, confiscated 753.24 m3 of various types of wood, and collected 5,055 million VND for the state budget.
