11,184 traffic violations were penalized during the Traffic Safety Month.

(Baonghean) - With the theme of this year's Traffic Safety Month (September 2011), "Preventing drunk driving," and "Traffic culture for peaceful waterways," the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee simultaneously launched campaigns and intensified the dissemination of traffic laws to the entire population through various forms; and coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to organize the "Understanding the Road Traffic Law in Secondary Schools" competition with the participation of over 80 schools and 680 students.

Traffic control and inspection activities were carried out regularly. The traffic police, in coordination with the riot police and patrol police, organized more than 1,554 inspection shifts, checked 4,105 cars and 8,967 motorbikes, detected and recorded 11,184 traffic safety violations, imposed administrative fines totaling 4,224,227,000 VND, revoked driving licenses for a limited period in 121 cases, and confiscated 2 fake driving licenses.
