Two online news sites, baomoi and megafun, have been fined.

These two websites committed an administrative violation by publishing the article: "If I had a son, I would forbid him from dating girls from Hai Phong.".

The Department of Broadcasting, Television and Electronic Information, Ministry of Information and Communications, has issued a decision to impose administrative penalties on two units responsible for the content of the websites baomoi.vn and megafun.vn.

The website megafun.vn has been fined administratively.

Accordingly, the Department of Broadcasting, Television and Electronic Information - Ministry of Information and Communications imposed administrative penalties on EPI Technology Joint Stock Company (the unit managing the website www.baomoi.vn) and VASC Software and Communications Company (the unit managing the website megafun.vn) for committing the administrative violation of posting the article: "If I had a son, I would forbid him from dating girls from Hai Phong" on these two websites.

This is an act that violates the regulations in the license to establish a comprehensive electronic information website; it undermines national unity but does not yet warrant criminal prosecution.

In terms of monetary penalties, EPI Technology Joint Stock Company was fined 10 million VND, and VASC Software and Communications Company was fined 60 million VND. The website megafun.vn also had its license revoked for one month.

Following the revocation of the license for haivl.com, the administrative penalties imposed on these two websites demonstrate the Ministry of Information and Communications' resolute action in strengthening the management of online information.
