Punish Zalo group administrator for notifying of "avoiding" traffic police checkpoint

The Internal Political Security Department of Ha Giang Provincial Police has just worked with two cases of administrators of the Zalo group "Do not drive after drinking alcohol" with the purpose of informing and "avoiding" traffic police checkpoints in the area.

The Internal Political Security Department has imposed administrative sanctions at the Warning level on the above two cases and requested correction and removal of related information.

Accordingly, the subjects named Nguyen QA (39 years old), residing in group 7, Quang Trung ward and Tran P. G (45 years old), residing in group 15, Tran Phu ward, Ha Giang city are the administrators of the Zalo group "If you drink alcohol, do not drive". This is a public group, however, since February 2020, some members of the group have posted many contents and information announcing the locations where the Traffic Police are working and checking, measuring alcohol concentration in the area.

This action affects the performance of duties of the functional forces, creates conditions for violators to grasp information, thereby dealing with the handling of violations by the Traffic Police force, negatively affecting the work of ensuring traffic order and safety in the area.

The above behavior violated the collection, processing and use of information of other organizations and individuals without consent or for the wrong purpose as prescribed by law as stipulated in Decree 174 of the Government.
