Punish young man for illegally using People's Public Security uniform
(Baonghean.vn) - A TikTok account posted a video of a young man wearing a People's Police uniform and an image of an ID card with the words "Special Task Force for Drug and Crime Prevention" with the caption "When I took off my work clothes and went to a bar!"
On August 4, the Internal Political Security Department of Nghe An Provincial Police coordinated with Vinh City Police to issue a decision to fine Tran NT (born 1994), residing in Trung Do Ward, Vinh City, for illegally using People's Police uniform.

Previously, through the work of grasping the situation, the Internal Political Security Department of Nghe An Provincial Police discovered a TikTok account posting a video of a young man wearing a People's Police uniform and an image of an ID card with the words "Special Task Force for Drug and Crime Prevention" with the content "When I took off my work clothes and went to a bar!". The video then received a lot of attention, interaction and comments, causing bad public opinion, negatively affecting the image of the People's Police force.
Through verification, it was found that the above video was posted by Tran NT (born in 1994, residing in Trung Do ward, Vinh city). T. borrowed a People's Police uniform (with the rank of Captain) and then wore it, took photos, made videos and posted it on his personal TikTok network with the purpose of "attracting views".

Vinh City Police have filed a case to punish the above case for the act of illegally using the People's Public Security uniform according to the provisions of Article 20, Decree No. 144/2021/ND-CP dated December 31, 2021 of the Government stipulating administrative sanctions for violations in the fields of security, order, social safety; prevention and control of social evils; fire prevention and fighting; rescue; prevention and control of domestic violence.

Article 20. Violations of regulations on management and use of uniforms, ranks, badges, numbers, People's Public Security identification cards or other documents reserved for the People's Public Security force
1. A fine of between VND 500,000 and VND 1,500,000 shall be imposed for the act of illegally storing or using uniforms, ranks, badges, numbers, People's Public Security identification cards or other documents reserved for the People's Public Security force.
2. A fine of between VND 5,000,000 and VND 10,000,000 shall be imposed for the act of illegally buying, selling or exchanging uniforms, ranks, badges, numbers, People's Public Security identification cards or other documents reserved for the People's Public Security force.
3. A fine of between VND 10,000,000 and VND 30,000,000 shall be imposed for the act of illegally producing or counterfeiting uniforms, ranks, badges, numbers, People's Public Security identification cards or other documents reserved for the People's Public Security force.
4. Additional penalties:
a. Confiscation of exhibits and means of administrative violation for acts specified in Clauses 1, 2 and 3 of this Article;
b. Deport foreigners who commit administrative violations specified in Clauses 1, 2 and 3 of this Article.
5. Remedial measures:
Forced to return illegal profits obtained from committing violations specified in Clauses 2 and 3 of this Article.
