The Mong people in Pa Khom still preserve their traditional customs passed down through generations.
The Hmong people in Pa Khom also celebrate the New Year according to their traditional customs. Towards the end of the year, the people here often receive sharing and assistance from people in the lowlands to ensure a prosperous New Year. During the days leading up to the Year of the Goat (2015), visiting the summit of Pa Khom, we felt the presence of spring in the highland villages.
