Xuan Truong injured, Gangwon FC coach 'shocked'

Luong Xuan Truong was diagnosed with a ligament injury in his right ankle after a friendly match with Gangwon FC. Coach Choi Yoon-gyum regretted that he had a high possibility of being in the starting lineup for the opening match of the 2017 K-League Classic.

According to information from Gangwon FC, Luong Xuan Truong has injured his right ankle ligament and will definitely miss Gangwon FC's first two matches at K-League Classic. Specifically, Xuan Truong will not be able to play in the opening match against Sangju Sangmu (March 4) and FC Seoul (March 11).

Head coach Choi Yoon-gyum expressed regret over the midfielder's injury, saying: "Truong had great potential to participate in the first match but unfortunately he was injured so I and the whole Gangwon FC team feel very sorry for him."
