Mr. Ha Ba Ly - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Huoi Tu commune said that recently, due to complicated weather conditions, diseases in buffaloes and cows have reappeared in Huoi Tu commune. After instructing households with dead buffaloes and cows to handle and prevent the spread of the disease, officials at all levels continued to propagate to the people of the whole commune to implement measures to prevent diseases in livestock, especially households raising buffaloes and cows.

People need to be proactive when detecting livestock with anthrax or unusual deaths, they must report to local authorities and the nearest veterinary agency to thoroughly handle the disease, absolutely do not arbitrarily slaughter, transport, or trade, causing the disease to spread to other areas.

Do not graze buffalo and cows or cut grass for buffalo and cows in places where buffalo and cows die from anthrax and the grazers are polluted.

Regularly clean and disinfect barns and livestock environments with lime powder or disinfectants every week to prevent the spread of pathogens.

Anthrax is an acute infectious disease of buffalo and cattle. This disease is endemic, caused by anaerobic bacilli Clostridium chauvoei and some other anaerobic bacilli (Cl.septicum, Cl.perfringens), showing typical symptoms and lesions: muscle swelling with gas, called "anthrax".

The disease can occur year-round in areas contaminated with anthrax spores, but it usually occurs during hot, humid, rainy months. Rainwater causes spores to float from the soil onto straw and grass. Animals that eat or drink the spores will develop the disease.
